Wir sagen Danke für Eure Hilfe.

The campaign by the fan initiative „Save FC St. Pauli“ has ended.

A total of around €40,500 was deposited into the account, a sum the Unionwe never expected. This campaign was just one of many, and we don’t see ourselves as saviors to be celebrated. We implemented the campaign very quickly and perhaps contributed to the general sense of optimism that followed the initial utter despair. It was about saving our favorite pastime, FC St. Pauli . The „rescue“ campaigns are almost all complete, and what remains is the memory of a time when our FC St. Pauli was on everyone’s lips. The media also helped and contributed to the positive atmosphere; only BILD still had no regard for the club.

With the success of all the „rescue“ measures, those responsible at FC St. Pauli have assumed a great responsibility, one that should actually be a given for the leadership of a club, but which apparently played no role for the board and management in the past. Namely: to manage the club correctly and successfully in the future, according to sound economic principles, and not to jeopardize its existence again through reckless means. And in doing so, to spare us all our sanity.

This is a standard we all set for the future, and the club owes it to its fans worldwide. A damned debt.
